Purdue University Student Connor Simmons Found Dead

Connor Simmons, an 18-year-old Purdue University student, was found dead in Wiley Residence Hall on campus Sunday afternoon. The Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office reported that an autopsy revealed no significant trauma or injuries, and no foul play is suspected; however, the cause of death remains pending as toxicology results are awaited. A vigil is scheduled for Monday evening at Lafayette Central Catholic Junior-Senior High School to honor Simmons, who had graduated from there in 2024. The community is grieving and seeking answers as the investigation continues, led by the coroner's office and Purdue University Police Department. The coroner expressed condolences to the family and requested respect for their privacy during this difficult time.
