Stefan Dordevic’s ‘Wind, Talk To Me’ Wins Sarajevo Film Festival Top Prize

At the 31st Sarajevo Film Festival, Serbian filmmaker Stefan Ðorđević's "Winds, Talk to Me" won the Heart of Sarajevo award for Best Feature Film. The film, a Serbia-Slovenia-Croatia co-production starring Ðorđević and his family, blends fiction and documentary to explore a man's introspective journey as he reunites with his family following his mother's death. Ðorđević dedicated the award to his mother and all mothers in Serbia concerned about their children amid recent violent anti-government protests. Ivana Mladenović won Best Director for "Sorella Di Clausura," while the ensemble cast of "Fantasy" received Best Actress honors, and Andrija Kuzmanović won Best Actor for "Yugo Florida." The festival also awarded Ivette Löcker's "Our Time Will Come" as Best Documentary, a film chronicling the challenges faced by an interracial couple in Austria. The event featured 50 competing films across various categories and highlighted ongoing social unrest in Serbia through the filmmakers' dedications and speeches.
