Infineon Begins Construction of Thai Semiconductor Plant

Infineon Technologies has commenced construction of a new highly automated backend semiconductor plant in Samut Prakan, Thailand, which is set to begin operations in early 2026. This investment aims to optimize and diversify Infineon's manufacturing capabilities in response to growing demand for power modules driven by global decarbonization and climate protection efforts. The project, supported by the Thailand Board of Investment, underscores a strong partnership between Infineon and the Thai government, enhancing the semiconductor ecosystem in the region.
