ASOS Appoints Natasja Laheij Chair, William Barker Deputy Chair
ASOS PLC has announced a significant leadership transition, naming Natasja Laheij as its new Chair following the FY25 year-end results, replacing Jørgen Lindemann who will step down after serving as Chair since 2022. Laheij, who joined the board in April 2023 and currently serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director, brings three decades of international commercial and financial experience with previous senior roles at Amazon Fashion Europe, Google EMEA, Apple, Sony Ericsson, and Deloitte Australia. Alongside Laheij's appointment, William Barker, founder and CEO of Camelot Capital Partners which owns around 15.8% of ASOS shares, has been named the newly created Deputy Chair to support the Chair and Management Committee on strategy, culture, and operational delivery. Barker joined the board in September 2023 and will waive his board fees. Additionally, Jose Manuel Martínez Gutiérrez will succeed Laheij as Senior Independent Director, and a search is underway for a new Chair of the Audit Committee. ASOS CEO José Antonio Ramos Calamonte expressed gratitude to Lindemann and optimism about working with Laheij and Barker as the company continues its strategic transformation.
