Three Men Jailed 75 Years for Merthyr Tydfil Kidnap and Attempted Murder

Three men—Tyshane Brown, George Miles-Williams, and Luke Williams—have been sentenced to a combined 75 years in prison for the kidnapping and attempted murder of a 28-year-old man from Merthyr Tydfil. The victim was lured to a retail park where he was forcibly taken into a car, blindfolded, and stabbed multiple times after refusing to pay a £5,000 ransom demanded by the kidnappers. During the ordeal, the victim's girlfriend received a phone call from the kidnappers, during which she heard the victim pleading for help and stating he was being stabbed. The victim's father and friends attempted a rescue, which included ramming the kidnappers' vehicle, but the victim was severely injured and hospitalized with multiple stab wounds. The kidnappers fled initially but were later arrested, and evidence including weapons and clothing was recovered. They were found guilty of attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, kidnap, blackmail, and possession of weapons.
