Scoot to Replace Jetstar Asia on Okinawa, Labuan Bajo Routes

Singapore Airlines' low-cost carrier Scoot will take over exclusive routes to Okinawa in Japan and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia previously operated by Jetstar Asia, which is shutting down on July 31, 2025 due to rising operational costs and regional competition. Scoot plans to launch these new services during the Northern Winter 2025 season, alongside increasing flight frequencies to destinations including Medan, Manila, Colombo, Jakarta, Bangkok, Penang, Clark, Denpasar, Phuket, and Surabaya, pending regulatory approval. Singapore Airlines is also facilitating employment opportunities for Jetstar Asia staff within the group to mitigate job losses from Jetstar's exit.
