He reflected on these experiences during an appearance on The Starting Line podcast, stating, 'I look back now, and I think it is bullying, really it is.' Ince recalled an episode where Gervais read from a fictional diary of Ince’s actions at a Christmas party, making others, including co-star Mackenzie Crook, uncomfortable. The comedian's allegations come amid ongoing discussions about Gervais's controversial humor and its impact, particularly regarding sensitive topics such as trans rights. Ince has not spoken to Gervais since calling him out for his jokes about the transgender community in 2022.
