Zverev Beats Musetti, Clinches ATP Finals Spot

Alexander Zverev defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 7-5 in the Vienna semifinal, firing nine aces, winning 83% of his first-serve points, not facing a break point and recording his 300th tour-level hard-court win. He will meet top seed Jannik Sinner in the Vienna final after Sinner beat Alex de Minaur 6-3, 6-4. The title match is a rematch of this year’s Australian Open final, features two former Vienna champions (Sinner 2023, Zverev 2021), and is an ATP 500 event. Zverev’s advance in Vienna — earlier aided by Tallon Griekspoor’s withdrawal — secured him an eighth qualification for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, joining Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic among the first four qualifiers.
