Heavy rain has also disrupted train services and delayed sporting events in Bengaluru, where an orange alert has been issued due to significant flooding. The IMD has advised fishermen to remain on shore due to dangerous sea conditions. Experts warn that climate change is exacerbating the severity and frequency of such monsoon-related disasters.
