Pilot survives plane crash after engine failure near Deer Valley Airport

A pilot in Arizona survived with only minor injuries after his single-engine Senior Aero Sport biplane crashed into a carport near Deer Valley Airport on Saturday morning. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot experienced a loss of power and reported an engine issue, prompting the emergency landing attempt. The Phoenix Fire Department responded quickly, and the pilot was able to exit the wreckage on his own, refusing hospital treatment after being evaluated at the scene.
