SpaceX Surpasses Own Launch Record in 2024

SpaceX has achieved a milestone with five significant launches in less than a week, showcasing its economical and efficient space access through reusable rockets. The company broke its own record with the 100th and 101st rocket launches in 2024, surpassing its previous record of 98 launches in 2023. Notable missions included the Europa Clipper's journey to Jupiter and the successful test flight of the Starship, which was caught mid-air by a device called Mechazilla. Additionally, SpaceX's Falcon 9 launched the ESA's Hera spacecraft to examine asteroid impact damage. NASA has also assigned SpaceX two more missions to the ISS under the Commercial Crew Program, while Boeing's Starliner awaits certification. Cape Canaveral is on track to surpass previous annual launch records, with SpaceX contributing significantly to this achievement.
