Browns Place Four Players on Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns have placed four players on injured reserve following their season-opening loss to the Dallas Cowboys, including starting safety Juan Thornhill (calf), defensive tackle Maurice Hurst (ankle), and linebackers Mohamoud Diabate (hip) and Tony Fields (ankle). Each of these players will be sidelined for at least four games due to their injuries. Notably, tight end David Njoku, who also suffered an ankle injury in the same game, was not placed on IR and is regarded as week-to-week, indicating a potential return sooner than four weeks. In response to the injuries, the Browns signed several players to their active roster from the practice squad, including wide receiver David Bell and linebacker Khaleke Hudson. They also added tight end Geoff Swaim to provide depth at Njoku's position. The Browns are set to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their next game.
