Clipse Release ‘Chains & Whips’ Video, Announce European Tour

Clipse released their first album in over 15 years, Let God Sort Em Out, featuring notable collaborations including Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Nas, and Tyler the Creator. The duo dropped a dark, moody music video for the Pharrell-produced track "Chains & Whips," directed by Gabriel Moses, which visually reflects the song's intense themes and Kendrick Lamar's powerful verses, despite his absence in the video. The collaboration with Kendrick Lamar reportedly led to Clipse's departure from Def Jam Recordings after the label wanted to censor a verse referencing President Donald Trump, which Pusha T refused, prompting them to sign with Roc Nation instead. Following the album's release, Clipse announced U.S. and European tour dates to support the project, with performances planned in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, and London. The album and the song have received strong critical acclaim, with Kendrick's verse on "Chains & Whips" being particularly praised, and even acknowledged by rap pioneer Rakim. Pharrell Williams executive produced the album, which continues to mark a significant comeback for the sibling duo, Pusha T and Malice.
