DHL Group acquires CRYOPDP, enhances pharma logistics

DHL Group has acquired 100% of CRYOPDP, a specialist pharma courier focused on logistics for clinical trials and biopharma, aiming to enhance its capabilities in the rapidly growing life sciences sector. This acquisition, which is part of DHL's Strategy 2030, is set to bolster its Pharma Specialized Network by leveraging CRYOPDP's expertise alongside DHL's global logistics services. CRYOPDP operates in 15 countries and handles over 600,000 shipments annually, serving a wide international customer base. Additionally, DHL has formed a strategic partnership with Cryoport to further integrate their logistics solutions in the healthcare market. The deal is expected to significantly increase DHL's service offerings and strengthen its position in temperature-controlled logistics. Oscar de Bok, CEO of DHL Supply Chain, highlighted the acquisition as pivotal for meeting the evolving needs in the pharmaceuticals sector.
