Pennsylvania fire chief arrested for allegedly injuring infant daughter
Brian Salt, a 36-year-old fire chief from Falls Township, Pennsylvania, has been charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly throwing his three-month-old daughter to the ground, resulting in a fractured skull. Salt reportedly admitted to police that his daughter's persistent crying led him to lose control, prompting him to intentionally drop her. After the injury was discovered at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Salt initially feigned ignorance about how the injury occurred. Following his arrest, he was suspended indefinitely from his position with the Falls Township Fire Company No. 1. The fire department emphasized its commitment to transparency and community safety in light of the incident. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 2, 2025.
