Florida Kennedy Space Center Tops US Attractions, Ranks Third Globally

The NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida, has been named the top attraction in the United States according to Tripadvisor's 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things To Do. This marks a shift from previous years when the Empire State Building held the top U.S. spot, now ranking second, with other New York City landmarks like Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art also making the national top 10 list. The Kennedy Space Center offers visitors a unique experience with exhibits, tours, and artifacts related to space exploration, including the Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Saturn V rocket, alongside opportunities to witness live rocket launches. Despite Florida’s fame for theme parks such as Disney World and Universal Studios, these were notably absent from the top rankings this year, highlighting the Kennedy Space Center's distinct appeal. Tripadvisor president Kristen Dalton emphasized that the awards celebrate experiences that create lifelong memories, catering to a wide range of traveler interests. The Kennedy Space Center also ranked third globally, following iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower and Spain’s Basílica de la Sagrada Familia.
