Electrocution Incidents in New Delhi and Gurugram

In New Delhi, three people, including a 12-year-old boy, died due to electrocution on Wednesday. The boy, Mudit Kumar, was electrocuted by exposed wires near an electric pole managed by BSES after returning from a coaching center in Bindapur. In another incident in Gurugram, three pedestrians — identified as Devesh Bajpai, Jaipal Yadav, and Wasim Zaman — were electrocuted on a waterlogged footpath near IFFCO Chowk Metro Station. A high-voltage wire had fallen into the water after a tree was uprooted by heavy rainfall. Authorities in both incidents have initiated investigations, with the Gurugram police ruling out negligence and attributing the accident to natural causes. Families of the victims have raised concerns over the maintenance and safety of electrical infrastructure.
