51-Year-Old Charged with Stabbing Murder

A 51-year-old man, Eleghba Lipsey, has been charged with multiple counts including first-degree murder following the stabbing death of 25-year-old Aidan Quickbear in Sioux Falls. The incident occurred early Saturday morning in a parking lot on South Duluth Avenue during a disagreement, leading Lipsey to stab Quickbear multiple times. Quickbear was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The police were able to apprehend Lipsey based on information from witnesses and his status on parole for prior offenses. This marks the 14th homicide in Sioux Falls for the year, setting a grim record for the city. Lipsey is currently held on a $1 million bond, with the potential for a life sentence if convicted of first-degree murder.
