Public Celebration of Life for Junior Bridgeman Set in Louisville

Junior Bridgeman, a celebrated former University of Louisville basketball player and successful businessman, passed away at the age of 71 following a medical emergency during an event. A public celebration of his life will take place on March 22 at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, where his family hopes to honor his legacy of generosity and faith. Bridgeman was known not only for his impressive sports career, which included a stint in the NBA and leading the Cardinals to the Final Four, but also for his philanthropic efforts in the community. He was a billionaire entrepreneur, owning numerous Wendy's and Chili's franchises and serving in various leadership roles in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, attendees are encouraged to donate to the West End School in his memory, reflecting his commitment to education and giving back. The UofL men's basketball team plans to wear patches honoring Bridgeman for the remainder of the season.
