Washington State Joins 2025 Maui Invitational

Washington State and Arizona State men's basketball teams will participate in the 2025 Maui Invitational, marking the first appearance for the Cougars in the tournament's history. Scheduled for November 24-26, 2025, at the Lahaina Civic Center, the tournament will also feature teams like Texas, USC, NC State, Seton Hall, UNLV, and host Chaminade. WSU head coach David Riley expressed excitement about competing against top-tier programs in this well-respected event. Arizona State, which last participated in the tournament in 2007, is looking to gain national exposure as it prepares for Big 12 competition. The Maui Invitational is known for its competitive matchups, with many past champions making deep runs in the NCAA Tournament. Tickets for the event will go on sale early next year, with the official bracket released in August 2025.
