One Injured in Random Early-Morning Shooting on I-680 Alamo
Early Thursday morning, a driver of a black Tesla was shot in the head during a random attack on northbound Interstate 680 near Stone Valley Road in Alamo, Contra Costa County. The shooter, traveling in a dark-colored sedan, fired multiple shots at the Tesla, with the victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries and expected to survive after being hospitalized. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. as the Tesla was returning from a concert at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Authorities have ruled out road rage as a motive and continue to investigate, with no immediate leads or suspect information released. The California Highway Patrol has appealed to the public for any information related to the shooting. The victim and two other passengers inside the Tesla were questioned by law enforcement, with only the driver injured.
