Russian Missile Attacks Intensify in Ukraine
On Good Friday, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack with cluster munitions on residential areas in Kharkiv, Ukraine, killing at least one person and injuring between 54 and 82 people, including several children. The missiles struck apartment buildings, a school, and civilian enterprises, damaging over 20 apartment blocks and 30 houses. President Zelensky condemned the attacks, noting they occurred despite a moratorium on energy strikes and ongoing ceasefire proposals. This assault marks the third consecutive week Russia has used advanced 9M727 ballistic missiles with stealth capabilities against Ukrainian civilian areas. Additional Russian strikes in Donetsk Oblast killed two and wounded three, further escalating the civilian toll. Ukraine repeated its willingness to negotiate a ceasefire if Russia accepts set terms, but Moscow has continued to reject these proposals.
