Chiefs Sign OT Jaylon Moore to Two-Year, $30 Million Deal

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed former San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Jaylon Moore to a two-year, $30 million deal as part of their efforts to strengthen the offensive line. Moore, who has primarily served as a backup and started five games in 2024 due to injuries in San Francisco, is expected to protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blindside. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has played in 55 games with 12 starts over four seasons. The Chiefs initially pursued veteran Ronnie Stanley but pivoted to Moore after Stanley re-signed with the Ravens. The team views Moore as an underrated talent ready to take on a starting role, especially given his experience backing up Trent Williams. The 49ers, while interested in retaining Moore, were unwilling to match the Chiefs' offer, highlighting Moore's value in free agency.
