Toyota Begins Construction New Tokyo Head Office Shinagawa

Toyota Motor Corporation has commenced construction of its new Tokyo Head Office near Shinagawa Station, one of Japan's major transport hubs, with completion targeted for fiscal year 2030. The facility is designed to support Toyota's transformation into a mobility company focused on carbon neutrality and expanding mobility's value, serving as a hub for collaboration with diverse internal and external partners. It will feature an engineer-first environment dedicated to software, AI, and other intelligence development, enabling hands-on interaction with actual mobility vehicles and fostering open communication across all levels. Toyota President Koji Sato emphasized the office's role in uniting diverse talents to accelerate innovation and contribute to the Shinagawa community. The company also plans to enhance employee well-being by incorporating the Genki-Kûkan initiative, integrating natural elements like plants to promote mental and physical health.
