Amazon Music Launches Month-Long Country Music Month Featuring Grand Ole Opry Takeover
Amazon Music is celebrating Country Music Month in October with a historic takeover of the Grand Ole Opry, marking the first time a streaming service has curated a show there. The special event on October 21 will feature performances by Lauren Alaina, Dan + Shay, Russell Dickerson, Carter Faith, Noeline Hofmann, and Lainey Wilson, hosted by Amber Anderson and Kelly Sutton of the Country Heat Weekly podcast. To mark the occasion, the Opry will be transformed from its iconic red to the signature orange of Amazon's Country Heat brand. Alongside the Opry event, Amazon Music is releasing a series of exclusive Amazon Music Originals, including Kane Brown's reimagined "2 Pair (Game Day Version)" with a marching band, Noeline Hofmann's cover of "Dublin Blues," Tucker Wetmore's take on "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," and Carter Faith’s cover of "Fame Is a Gun." This initiative highlights Amazon Music's growing influence in country music, with the Country Heat brand surpassing 30 billion streams in the US since its launch in 2016 and underscores the platform's commitment to honoring country music's heritage while pushing creative boundaries.
