Astros Rename Stadium to Daikin Park

The Houston Astros announced that their stadium will be renamed Daikin Park starting January 1, 2025, following a naming rights agreement with Daikin Comfort Technologies North America Inc. This change marks the end of the Minute Maid Park name, which has been associated with the venue since 2002 after its initial name, Enron Field, was dropped due to the company's bankruptcy. Daikin, a leading air conditioning manufacturer based in Japan, will hold the naming rights for the next 15 years. Minute Maid will continue its partnership with the team until 2029. The ballpark has hosted significant events, including five World Series and the 2004 All-Star Game, and is known for memorable moments in Astros history. Astros owner Jim Crane emphasized the shared values between Daikin and the team, highlighting their commitment to the local community.
