NYC Park Tragedy: 3 Dead, 8 Injured
A tragic incident occurred on July 4th in Manhattan's Lower East Side when a suspected drunk driver, Daniel Hyden, plowed his Ford F-150 into a crowd at Corlears Hook Park, killing three people and injuring eight others. Among the deceased were Lucille Pinkney, 59, and her son Hernan Pinkney, 38. Hyden, who was speeding and ran a stop sign, has been charged with multiple offenses, including DWI and aggravated vehicular homicide. Emergency responders found four victims trapped under the vehicle, and several of the injured remain in critical condition. The incident, which happened just before the start of the Macy's fireworks show, has left the community in mourning. This follows another recent tragedy involving a drunk driver in nearby Long Island.
