Four Dead in Abeokuta Truck Accident

A tragic accident in Abeokuta, Ogun State, resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left two others injured when a truck, experiencing brake failure, collided with two motorcycles and a Honda CRV at around 9 p.m. on Thursday. The truck, laden with granite, lost control while descending a slope and struck the vehicles, instantly killing the two motorcyclists and their passengers. Initial reports suggested six fatalities, but thanks to first responders, some individuals were revived at the scene. The driver and assistant of the truck fled immediately after the incident and remain missing. The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) confirmed the details, urging motorists to maintain their vehicles to prevent such accidents. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a morgue, while the injured were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
