Rain Delays India v South Africa Final; Reserve Day

The Women's World Cup final between India and South Africa at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Nov. 2, 2025, has been repeatedly delayed by rain and drizzle, with the toss and start times pushed back while groundstaff worked to cover and dry the pitch. Both teams are chasing their first ODI World Cup title — India in their third final and South Africa in their first — after semifinal wins over Australia and England. ICC playing conditions provide a reserve day on Nov. 3: if a minimum of 20 overs per side cannot be completed on Sunday play will resume on the reserve day, and if that also fails the teams will be declared joint winners.
