NASCAR Finalizing Five-Year Bowman Gray Stadium Deal

NASCAR has announced that the Cook Out Clash Cup Series exhibition race will return to Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on February 1, 2026, after the 2025 event marked the first Cup Series race at the venue since 1971. The 2025 race, which sold out, saw Chase Elliott lead 171 of 200 laps and receive praise from both fans and drivers for the competitive short-track racing, though some criticized the track's tight layout and slower speeds. NASCAR has implemented significant upgrades to the stadium, including new lighting and safety features, and is nearing a five-year agreement to bring at least one national-series event to Bowman Gray annually. City officials and NASCAR leadership praised the partnership and indicated ongoing improvements to further enhance the fan and participant experience. FOX Sports will again broadcast the event, and 2025 ticket holders will have priority access for 2026 tickets. Cook Out remains the title sponsor.
