Boston Police Seek Public Help in Identifying Suspects in Suffolk University Student Assault
Boston police are searching for five young men suspected of assaulting Suffolk University student Aidan Knaster near Boston Common on Saturday night. Knaster was attacked around 11 p.m. on Tremont Street, where one of the suspects intentionally body-checked him, followed by the group surrounding, choking, beating, and striking him over the head with a glass bottle, which resulted in a concussion and required four stitches. The assault appeared unprovoked and was described as both random and senseless by Suffolk University, which has pledged to increase patrols in the area and is working closely with police in the investigation. Surveillance footage of the suspects has been released, and police recovered a black hat with a yellow 'P' at the scene, requesting the public's assistance in identifying the attackers. Witnesses quickly called 911, aiding Knaster, who is now recovering but shaken by the ordeal. Authorities encourage anyone with information or relevant photos/videos to contact Boston Police or submit tips anonymously via CrimeStoppers.
