San Antonio Officer Kills Man with Machete

A San Antonio police officer shot and killed a 27-year-old man wielding a machete in response to a domestic violence call on the west side of the city. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Tahoka Boulevard when officers responded to a report of the man assaulting his girlfriend. Upon arrival, the suspect partially opened the door but was forced back as the officer entered, leading him to grab a machete. As the man attempted to rise with the weapon, the officer shot him, resulting in his death at the hospital later that afternoon. The suspect had a history of violent offenses, including aggravated assault and theft. The officer involved, with just over a year of experience, has been placed on administrative duty pending further investigation.
