Plane Crash Kills 2, Injures 8, Damages San Diego Homes

A small Cessna 550 jet crashed into the Murphy Canyon neighborhood of San Diego early Thursday morning, killing two people onboard and injuring eight others. The crash destroyed one home and damaged around 10 to 15 buildings, many of which were military housing units, and ignited fires in multiple residences and vehicles. Approximately 100 residents were evacuated due to the widespread presence of jet fuel and hazardous materials at the scene. Officials confirmed that there were no serious injuries among those on the ground despite the significant damage. Emergency responders continue to focus on searching homes and ensuring the safety of residents amid ongoing fire and hazmat concerns.
