New England Revolution Transfers Esmir Bajraktarević to PSV

The New England Revolution have officially transferred 19-year-old winger Esmir Bajraktarević to Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven for a reported fee of up to $6 million, retaining a percentage of future sell-on rights. Bajraktarević, who joined the Revolution's academy in 2021, made 45 appearances for the team, scoring three goals and providing three assists during his three seasons in the MLS. His move marks a significant milestone as he becomes the first Revolution academy graduate sold directly to an overseas club. Revolution sporting director Curt Onalfo praised Bajraktarević's development and professionalism, stating that the transfer allows him to grow in a top European league. Meanwhile, the Revolution have signed Costa Rican forward Luis Diaz on a one-year deal with options for 2026 and 2027, adding depth and experience to their roster. Diaz, who previously played in MLS, is expected to bring dynamic options to New England's attack under coach Caleb Porter.
