Woman, Dog Killed in Phoenix Double Hit-and-Run
Brittany Geib, 29, and her dog Dexter were killed in west Phoenix around 1 a.m. on July 11 after being struck by two separate vehicles in a back-to-back hit-and-run. The incident occurred near 51st Avenue and Elwood Street, with Geib standing in the roadway after her dog was initially hit when both were fatally struck by a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Camry, whose drivers fled the scene. Police are asking the public, especially those in the automotive community, to report any vehicles showing collision damage. Witnesses can contact Silent Witness for a possible $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Geib's family has expressed their grief and called for prayers, while a GoFundMe has been created to support them. The investigation is ongoing as authorities emphasize the need for community vigilance.
