Ja Morant Out; Grizzlies Face Elimination vs Thunder
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant will miss Game 4 of the first-round NBA playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a left hip injury suffered after a hard fall and collision with Lu Dort during a fastbreak in Game 3. Morant was seen on crutches after leaving the game, and his absence is a major setback for a Grizzlies team now trailing 3-0 in the series. Memphis had built a 29-point lead in Game 3 but suffered a historic collapse, being outscored 63-31 in the second half following Morant's exit. With Morant sidelined, Scotty Pippen Jr. and others are expected to play larger roles as the Grizzlies try to avoid elimination. The Thunder are now one win away from advancing. No NBA team has ever come back from a 0-3 playoff deficit.
