Montreal Victoire Tops Boston Fleet 3-1
The Montreal Victoire secured a 3-1 victory over the Boston Fleet, taking first place in the Professional Women’s Hockey League with their fourth consecutive win. Claire Dalton led the charge with a goal and an assist, while Kristin O’Neill scored the game-winning short-handed goal. Ann-Renée Desbiens was instrumental in goal, stopping 18 shots and helping the team kill off a five-minute penalty. Despite their power play struggles, having scored only twice in 25 attempts this season, the Victoire's penalty kill ranked second in the league. Hilary Knight scored for Boston, which remains last in the standings with only 12 goals through six games. The Victoire will face the Fleet again in Seattle on January 5.
