Kansas Court of Appeals Swears In Judge Lori Bolton Fleming

Judge Lori Bolton Fleming was officially sworn in as the newest member of the Kansas Court of Appeals, filling the vacancy left by Judge Henry Green Junior's retirement. Fleming brings extensive judicial experience, having served as a district judge since 2012 and chief judge since 2021 in Kansas's 11th Judicial District. Before her legal career, she was an educator in music and English, which she credits with shaping her communication skills important for her judicial role. Her appointment shifts the Court of Appeals composition to nine women and five men.
