BCCI Travel Policy for ICC Tournament 2025

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted in a hybrid model in Pakistan and Dubai, marking the first major ICC tournament in Pakistan since 1996. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has implemented a new travel policy prohibiting Indian cricketers' families from joining them for overseas tours shorter than 45 days, including the Champions Trophy. This decision follows India's 3-1 series defeat to Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and aims to ensure players remain focused. The policy allows families to join for up to two weeks on longer tours, with any exceptions requiring personal expense coverage by the players. This policy will be enforced for the first time at the Champions Trophy, despite requests from senior players for exceptions being denied. India's group matches in Dubai include games against Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand, with all Indian matches in the UAE and other matches held in Pakistan.
