Indiana University South Bend will host a public forum on Sept. 12 featuring candidates for the Indiana General Assembly, including incumbent Mike Bohacek and challenger Leon P. Smith. Additionally, the Keokuk branch of the American Association of University Women will conduct a forum for Iowa Senate District 42 candidates on Sept. 18. The American Democracy Project at IU South Bend is also organizing a public forum on legislative candidates, encouraging community participation to discuss key issues.
