This extension follows the IRS's federal tax filing deadline extension to November 3, 2025, and under Arkansas law, taxpayers receive a one-month extension from the federal due date to file state returns. The extension applies broadly to individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and other entities filing 2024 returns. Taxpayers must attach the IRS disaster-related notice or check the federal extension box on their state tax returns to qualify, and while penalties are waived for timely filings by December 3, estimated tax payment deadlines remain unchanged. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration has provided helplines for taxpayers with questions about the new deadline and filing requirements. These measures aim to accommodate residents affected by tornadoes, flooding, and other storm-related damages earlier this year.
