Philadelphia Man Charged with Attempted Sexual Encounters with 13-Year-Old

Ian Evans, a 34-year-old man from Philadelphia, was arrested in Bensalem after allegedly attempting to meet a 13-year-old girl for a sexual encounter. The police reported that Evans had been messaging the girl on a dating app since early March, sending sexually explicit messages and images, and asking her to get naked. He reportedly sent around 20 photos of his genitals and explicit videos while attempting to coerce her into sending him nude pictures. After agreeing to meet in a wooded area behind his workplace, police obtained a warrant for his arrest, and he was taken into custody on April 4. Evans has been charged with multiple counts, including sexual abuse of children and unlawful contact with a minor, and is currently held on $1 million bail. Authorities confirmed that no child was in danger during the investigation.
