Manchester United plans new 100,000-seat stadium near Old Trafford

Manchester United has confirmed plans to construct a new 100,000-capacity stadium adjacent to their historic Old Trafford home, which they have occupied for 115 years. Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe emphasized that the new stadium would serve as a catalyst for the regeneration of the Old Trafford area, potentially creating 92,000 jobs and contributing £7.3 billion to the UK economy. The decision follows a task force report that concluded a new build would be more beneficial than refurbishing the existing stadium.
