Brothers Face Murder Charges in Brisbane Case
Two brothers, Codye Thomson and Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of 23-year-old Chloe Jade Mason, who was fatally shot in Caboolture, north of Brisbane, on December 22. The arrests were made by Queensland police in Logan, with assistance from the public and media, after the suspects were believed to have fled to northern New South Wales. Mason was found unconscious on Railway Parade and died at the scene following an alleged altercation with the suspects, whom she reportedly knew. Police had issued warrants for the brothers' arrests and released CCTV footage to gather more information on the incident. The men, who were initially questioned as witnesses, are now facing murder charges and are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court. Authorities continue to investigate the case, including forensic testing on a rifle found at the scene.
