Father of Four Dies After Fort Lauderdale Memorial Day Boat Explosion

Joshua Fifi, a 29-year-old father of four, died days after a boat explosion on Memorial Day in Fort Lauderdale. The 39-foot Sea Ray, carrying 15 people, exploded due to fuel vapors igniting a flash fire while anchored near a sandbar in the Intracoastal Waterway. Fifi suffered third-degree burns over 70% of his body and was in a medically induced coma before his passing. Ten other individuals, including two children with critical burn injuries, were also hospitalized following the blast. Authorities continue to investigate the exact cause of the explosion while Fifi's family has set up a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses and support his children.
