Brignone Wins Giant Slalom in Semmering

New Zealand ski racer Alice Robinson secured third place at the World Cup giant slalom event in Semmering, Austria, marking her second podium finish of the season. Despite initial nerves resulting from a previous failure to finish, Robinson managed to improve her performance in the second run. Federica Brignone of Italy won the race, breaking her own record as the oldest winner of a women's World Cup ski race at age 34, while Sweden's Sara Hector finished in second place. Brignone's victory puts her at the top of the overall standings, with Robinson climbing to third overall. The next giant slalom event is scheduled for Slovenia on Saturday.
