Amazon Web Services (AWS) has selected seven Indian generative AI startups—Convrse, House of Models, Neural Garage, Orbo.ai, Phot.ai, Unscript AI, and Zocket—as part of its Global Generative AI Accelerator program, marking the highest representation from India in the Asia-Pacific region. These startups, chosen from a global pool of 80, will benefit from AWS's $230 million investment aimed at supporting early-stage companies, receiving up to $1 million in credits, mentorship, and access to advanced AWS technologies. The initiative aims to facilitate the development of generative AI applications, with participants invited to showcase their solutions at the forthcoming re:Invent event in Las Vegas. Additionally, four Australian startups—Contact Harald, Marqo, Relevance AI, and Splash Music—were also selected for the program, underlining AWS's commitment to fostering innovation in AI on a global scale. The 10-week accelerator will provide startups with the resources necessary for building and launching their AI solutions. This selection highlights the growing potential of the AI sector in India and the Asia-Pacific region, supported by substantial investments and mentorship from AWS.
