Man Charged in Joliet Bar Shooting

Keenan Watt, a 33-year-old man from Plainfield, has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident at Eden Bar and Grill in Joliet that occurred on September 22, injuring three patrons. The victims included a 29-year-old man shot three times in the lower body, a 25-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her right leg, and a 31-year-old woman shot in the right ankle, all of whom were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, law enforcement, including the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force, located Watt at a residence on Oleander Drive and took him into custody without incident on October 18. He faces multiple charges, including three felony counts of aggravated battery and one count of being an armed habitual criminal. Watt was processed and is currently held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility. His case highlights ongoing concerns about gun violence in the community.
