Channing Tatum's Roofman Set for October 2025 Release

Paramount Pictures will release the film 'Roofman,' directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, on October 3, 2025. The movie is based on the true story of Jeffrey Manchester, a former Army Ranger who, after falling on hard times, resorts to robbing McDonald's by cutting holes in their roofs, earning him the nickname 'Roofman.' After escaping from prison, he attempts to start anew while hiding in a toy store and falling in love with a single mother, but his criminal history and a final heist jeopardize his chance for redemption. The film is co-written by Cianfrance and Kirk Gunn and produced by Lynette Howell Taylor, Jamie Patricof, and Duncan Montgomery. Miramax has acquired the film for U.S. distribution under a first-look deal with Paramount, which will handle the release. The cast also includes Peter Dinklage, adding to an ensemble that reflects a blend of drama and crime elements.
