Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun Join Ben Affleck's Kidnapping Thriller 'Animals'

Ben Affleck's upcoming Netflix thriller 'Animals' has added Steven Yeun and Kerry Washington to its cast. The film, which Affleck will both direct and star in, tells the story of a mayoral candidate and his wife who resort to extreme measures to rescue their kidnapped son. Washington will portray Affleck's character's wife, while Yeun will play their campaign manager. Production is set to begin in April in Los Angeles, after a year of delays primarily due to scheduling conflicts with Affleck's longtime collaborator Matt Damon, who was originally cast but had to withdraw. Gillian Anderson will also feature in the film, adding to the star-studded lineup. 'Animals' promises to delve into themes of political turmoil and personal desperation as the couple navigates their harrowing situation.
